Douglas M. Taylor, DPM
I am a native Californian, born, raised and resides in the Bay Area. After completing my B.A from the University of San Francisco in 1974, I went on to Podiatry school at Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. After completing four years of Podiatric Medical School and passing the required two national boards, I graduated in 1983 receiving my D.P.M. degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. My residency was completed at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek, MI. It is this experience that prepared me with the knowledge necessary to embark upon this highly specialized field of medicine. In 1985 after passing the national and state boards I began private practice in Walnut Creek and in 2007 opened my second practice in San Leandro. I stay active in the Podiatry community and feel that by keeping up with continuing education and peer to peer contact I can be familiar with the most current techniques to best treat my patients. I provide podiatric medicine and surgery for the foot and ankle to all age groups. I am at both practices five days a week and therefore serve both Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. I am married with two grown children, and am a proud grandfather.
Our Mission
My goal is to continue to keep up with continuing Podiatric education. Evaluate my patients Podiatric medical problems utilizing the latest in technology. Offer patients a conservative approach to their Podiatric problems. Educate patients regarding their medical problems. Utilize surgical correction when needed. Our staff offers a caring approach to our patient's foot and ankle problems.
